Inserting Silverlight content with Expression Web 3: Module 1
Introduction to Inserting Silverlight Content with Expression Web 3
In this module, you’ll gain an overview on how you can easily add Silverlight content into your web pages with Expression Web 3.
Defining a Site in Expression Web
You’ll begin this module by defining a site in Expression Web 3. Defining a site is almost always the first step you need to do when working with a pre-existing web site such as the one provided for this module. When you open a site, Expression Web creates an inventory of the files within the folder and keeps track of connections such as the links between documents.
Open Expression Web 3 and, from the Site menu in Expression Web, choose Open Site.
In the Open Site window that appears, click the Browse button.
Navigate to the 01_SuperPreview_identifying_layout_problems folder. Click Open, click the folder Lucerne_site to select it, then click Open again. Click Open one more time to confirm. The list of files inside this folder appears.
In the Site View tab, double-click default.html to open this page in Expression Web. This page has been formatted to fit in a Silverlight header that contains a navigation bar at the top and an animated slideshow at the bottom. The site is for a fictional publishing company named Lucerne.
